A person at a workbench with a toolbox and building blocks, choosing between buying and building tools.

Searching for revenue operations software can be surprisingly confusing. You open a list of the best RevOps tools and find a CRM, a sales automation platform and something that records sales calls. Useful tools, certainly. But you were looking for something built for revenue operations.

Revenue operations teams use all of these products. That does not make them dedicated RevOps software. A sales engagement tool helps sellers reach prospects. Revenue intelligence helps teams understand deals and customer interactions. A CRM manages customer records and workflows. Calling all of them RevOps platforms makes the shopping list longer without making the decision much easier.

In this comparison, I am looking at software built to help run revenue operations itself. That means diagnosing gaps, connecting revenue data, designing processes and turning a revenue plan into something the business can use. The wider team can benefit, but the work starts with RevOps.

We will compare Five Dots, Vasco and Fullcast, then look at a fourth option, building your own tool with AI. They take different approaches, so I will compare them across the same categories, including domain expertise, ease of use, human support, connectivity, price and implementation effort.

We built Five Dots at Revenue Wizards. This guide draws on published product information checked on 2 November 2026; it is not a hands-on product test. With that clear, let's get into the comparison.

What does revenue operations software do?

Revenue operations, often shortened to RevOps or revenue ops, brings together the processes, systems and data that support marketing, sales and customer success. The software can help those teams share information, spot problems and act on them. Our introduction to revenue operations explains the wider role.

A revenue operations platform brings several of these capabilities together. What matters is which part of the work it handles and what your team still needs to provide.

How to read the comparison

Each option has its own category table. The stars are my subjective editorial ratings for a small RevOps team already using an AI assistant. They reflect how I would weigh each approach, not a hands-on test or an independent benchmark. We built Five Dots, so read the ratings alongside that disclosure and the explanation in each row.

More stars mean a stronger fit for the category. Simplicity and implementation reward lower effort; pricing rewards visibility into charges and cost drivers, not affordability or a guaranteed total bill. Domain expertise reflects the RevOps knowledge offered, human expertise reflects access to practitioner help, and interface reflects my preference for how the work is presented. MCP rewards delivery through an existing assistant. Not applicable means the result depends on the people building the tool; not scored means I have left the judgment open. There is no combined winner score.

MCP, short for Model Context Protocol, lets an AI assistant work with connected tools and context. That matters here because Five Dots delivers its RevOps methodology through MCP, while Vasco and Fullcast also have their own software platforms.

Five Dots for RevOps audits and practical guidance

We built Five Dots from our work at Revenue Wizards. Our experience across more than 100 go-to-market projects informs the methods, checks and skills it brings into your AI assistant. The starting point is the consulting work itself, including how to investigate a problem, decide what matters and work towards a fix.

I would consider it when you need that experience inside the tools you already use. You connect the methodology to your assistant instead of setting up another revenue database or learning another reporting application. The free audit helps identify gaps; paid plans add the methods and skills to work on them.

Category Rating What it means for your team
Domain expertise ★★★★★ Built from Revenue Wizards' experience across 100+ go-to-market projects. RevOps methods, diagnostic checks and practical skills form the core product.
Simplicity of getting started ★★★★★ Add the MCP connection to a supported AI assistant you already use, provide context and start with a question. Your existing data connections can support the work.
Interface ★★★★☆ Work in your familiar AI assistant. There is no separate operational dashboard to learn; the experience depends on your chosen assistant.
Price and transparency ★★★★★ Free audit; Core €199/month; Guided €499/month, excluding VAT. Published plans plus your own AI subscription or usage. Five Dots does not resell model credits or add a markup to your model usage.
Human expertise ★★★★★ Guided includes onboarding, an hour each month with a RevOps partner and a quarterly business review. Human help comes from the practitioners behind the product. Managed work is scoped separately.
MCP delivery ★★★★★ MCP is the primary delivery mechanism for the RevOps methodology, rather than an extra route into a separate operational platform.
Implementation ease ★★★★☆ Light setup to begin using the methodology in an existing assistant. Connecting additional systems and implementing recommended fixes are separate pieces of work.

The plan prices cover Five Dots. Your AI provider bills you separately under your own plan, so model usage can still vary. That separation makes it clear what you pay us for and what you pay your AI provider for.

Main advantage. Practical RevOps experience inside an existing AI workflow, with a clear route to human help.

Main trade-off. The assistant needs useful business context and the right permissions. Five Dots supplies the method; it does not become your central revenue database or independently operate your CRM.

Vasco for connecting revenue data and AI agents

Vasco takes a software-platform approach. It connects information from your CRM, billing, customer conversations and other sources, then organises it around the customer journey. Its agents work with that connected context.

I would consider it when the information exists but answering a question means joining it by hand. A renewal review, for example, might need account history, support issues and billing status together. That calls for more setup than connecting a library of methods to your existing assistant, but the resulting shared data layer is a different capability.

Category Rating What it means for your team
Domain expertise ★★★★☆ Revenue-specific data structures, metrics and agents. The product centres on connected GTM data and repeatable analysis.
Simplicity of getting started ★★★☆☆ A separate platform to configure. Connect your sources, validate the account mapping and agree the metric definitions before relying on the analysis.
Interface ★★★☆☆ A dedicated platform for data and agents, with access from external AI tools as well. Your team needs to learn its configuration and workflow.
Price and transparency ★★★★☆ Growth is displayed from US$199/month with 2,000 monthly AI credits. Higher credit allowances cost more, so compare both the subscription and expected consumption.
Human expertise ★★☆☆☆ Growth lists email and Slack support. The pricing page separately advertises setup services under Forward Deployed RevOps; that is a different purchase from consultant time included in a software plan.
MCP delivery ★★★★☆ A documented MCP server connects an external assistant to Vasco's platform. Included from Growth.
Implementation ease ★★★☆☆ Requires source connections, shared definitions and agent configuration. The workload depends on how much data you connect and how consistently it is structured.

The pricing page also lists a free tier with 500 credits and two one-time-sync connectors. Growth includes two continuously synced connectors. Credits are consumed by AI work, so the entry price is not a fixed price for unlimited usage. Its MCP access lets you use that connected context from other AI tools.

Main advantage. A shared revenue data layer that supports repeatable analysis and agents.

Main trade-off. You take on a separate platform and data model, and need to size both connector coverage and credit consumption.

Fullcast for revenue planning and operational execution

Fullcast covers territory design, quotas, capacity planning, routing, forecasting and commissions. I would consider it when the challenge is applying a revenue plan across teams and systems, particularly when every territory or staffing change creates another round of spreadsheet work.

This is a fuller software implementation. You need a planning model, rules and integrations that reflect the business. In a demo, I would ask to follow one territory change from the planning decision through to account assignments and existing opportunities.

Category Rating What it means for your team
Domain expertise Not scored Specialised planning and execution capabilities across territories, quotas, capacity, routing and commissions.
Simplicity of getting started ★★☆☆☆ More initial work than connecting an assistant plug-in. Your team configures a planning environment around its organisation and rules.
Interface ★★★☆☆ Dedicated planning and operational workspaces, plus an AI-assistant connection. Assess the actual screens with the people who will manage the process.
Price and transparency ★★☆☆☆ Custom quote. Pricing measures vary by suite, including users, payees and routing volume or complexity. Public pricing does not establish a reliable monthly euro amount.
Human expertise ★★★☆☆ Consultants and managed services are available for implementation and operational support. Confirm their scope and cost in your proposal.
MCP delivery ★★★★☆ Documented MCP access to the platform, subject to tenant settings and your existing Fullcast permissions.
Implementation ease ★★☆☆☆ Expect planning-model configuration, integrations, rule validation and team adoption. The amount of work depends on the scope you buy.

Fullcast's pricing page, MCP documentation and services page describe those options. I would request one proposal covering the software, implementation and any human support you need.

Main advantage. Connects planning decisions to operational rules and assignments.

Main trade-off. Greater setup and coordination, with a price you need to establish through a scoped quote.

Build your own RevOps tool with AI

There is another option. Describe the workflow you want to an AI coding assistant and build a small tool around it. This is often called vibe coding. You explain the outcome in ordinary language, the assistant produces code, and you work through the result together.

Start with a narrow workflow, such as a renewal view combining CRM and billing records, with an output someone can check.

A practical setup could include:

  • An AI coding assistant to help create the interface, database queries and application logic.
  • A database such as PostgreSQL to store the records and history the tool needs.
  • CRM exports or API connections to bring in data, with scheduled updates when the workflow needs them.
  • A simple web interface where the team can review the output and take the next step.
  • An optional large language model (LLM) connection to summarise findings or work with unstructured notes.

n8n supports AI workflows and Postgres queries and updates, so you can combine existing components with your own code.

The AI that helps build the application does not have to run inside it. A dashboard with fixed rules may need no language model after development. If you add one, calculate revenue totals in tested queries and let the model explain the results.

For a first project, I would try a read-only pipeline hygiene tool that identifies missing next steps and overdue close dates. Once it works reliably, decide whether write-back is worth adding. Your team still owns testing, permissions, backups and broken connections. Our build-versus-buy guide explores that decision further.

Category Rating What it means for your team
Domain expertise Not applicable Comes from your team and the methods you provide. Generating code does not establish whether the revenue process is sound.
Simplicity of getting started ★★☆☆☆ A narrow prototype can be approachable. A tool other people depend on needs working data connections, access controls and testing.
Interface ★★★★☆ You can design exactly the screens or chat workflow you want, but your team must build and test them.
Price and transparency ★★★★★ You choose the providers and can inspect their rates and usage directly. That gives control over the cost breakdown; development time, maintenance and variable usage still affect the total.
Human expertise Not applicable Your own RevOps and technical knowledge, or specialists you hire. No expert support is automatically bundled with generated code.
MCP delivery ★☆☆☆☆ Optional. You must build or integrate the connection and decide what the assistant can read or change.
Implementation ease ★★☆☆☆ Your team owns the database, application, integrations, testing and deployment. A small scope keeps this manageable.

Main advantage. A close fit for a specific workflow, with control over the interface and roadmap.

Main trade-off. Your team owns the working product after the prototype, including access, uptime and maintenance.

How to choose a revenue operations platform

I would bring one real problem to every demo or prototype. Use the same territory change, account or pipeline review so you can compare the output. Agree on the result you want, who will use it and what it costs to keep it working.

Check what you already own first. Your CRM may cover enough of the workflow to improve it without another subscription. Our guide to keeping your RevOps tool stack lean is a useful starting point.

These approaches can also work together. Guidance on structuring a pipeline and a custom report built around it solve different parts of the work. I would still choose for the problem in front of me. A complete collection of RevOps subscriptions is a surprisingly expensive hobby.

Frequently asked questions about revenue operations software

What is the best revenue operations software?

The best fit depends on the job. In this shortlist, I would evaluate Five Dots for audit guidance, Vasco for connected data and agents, Fullcast for planning and assignments, and a custom build for a narrow problem. These are starting points for evaluation, not universal winners.

Is a revenue operations platform the same as a CRM?

A CRM is where teams manage customer and prospect records and workflows. A revenue operations platform may add analysis, planning or automation around it. Features overlap, so compare the specific work you need done before adding a separate product.

Is there free RevOps software?

Five Dots publishes a free audit plan, and Vasco publishes a free tier with usage and sync limits. Check what remains available after any trial and whether the free plan supports a recurring workflow. Free access can be useful without covering everything you need.

Can I build my own RevOps tool with AI?

Yes, a focused internal tool is a practical option to explore. Use an AI coding assistant to help build it, a database for the data and integrations for the systems it needs. Start with one workflow whose output you can check. Budget for maintenance and testing as well as the initial build.

Do these tools replace a RevOps person?

I would treat them as ways to increase capacity. Someone still needs to agree on definitions, decide what matters, review recommendations and help the team use the process. Buying software does not settle those decisions for you.

Revenue operations software comparison at a glance

Option Strongest reason to consider it Main trade-off Pricing model
Five Dots Consultancy-developed methods inside your existing AI assistant Depends on your assistant, context and connections Published plans; your own AI costs separately
Vasco Connected revenue data and agents Platform setup and usage planning Subscription with included credits; higher usage affects price
Fullcast Revenue planning linked to territories, quotas and assignments Implementation effort and scoped procurement Custom quote by suite and requirements
Build your own A precise fit for a narrow workflow You own development and maintenance Tools, infrastructure, usage and your team's time

Start with the revenue problem you want to fix

If you already know the problem, use it to choose which product to evaluate first. If you are still working out where the process breaks, that is useful work to do before committing to another platform.

You can start a free Five Dots audit or book a conversation with Revenue Wizards to work through the issue with us. Bring the process that is causing trouble. We can start there.
