What you leave with
Revenue WizardsRevenue WizardsA decision, and the process, data and system that carry it.
Strategy consultingA decision, and a plan for someone else to carry it.
RevOps consulting vs strategy consulting
A strategy consultancy sells a decision. Revenue Wizards sells the decision and the operating system that makes it true. The deck is not the problem. The gap after the deck is.
Buy the strategy firm when the board needs a choice and nobody needs a system built this quarter. Buy Revenue Wizards when the recommendation will die in a slide unless the same people configure the process, the CRM and the cadence.
The decision
Side by side
Both firms will tell you they are strategic. The test is what is true in the CRM ninety days after the readout.

Strategy consultingA decision, and a plan for someone else to carry it.
Revenue WizardsOne team, from the readout to the build.

Revenue WizardsOne engagement. The thinking is paid once.
Strategy consultingA diagnosis fee, then a separate implementation contract.
Why this comparison exists
Revenue operations is a strategy and an operation at the same time. What revenue operations is puts strategy, process, data and technology in one system. A strategy firm that stops at the recommendation has done half of that, and the half that does not compound. The founder's guide to strategy, process, technology and analytics is how those layers depend on each other.
The complaint we hear about previous partners is consistent, and we name it in the freelance, in-house and consultancy comparison. A deck from one firm. An implementation by another. Nobody owns the result. Context is loaded twice. The months between the readout and the first CRM change are the cost that never appears in the proposal.
We still start with a diagnosis. The RevOps audit is about a month, and executive workshops are the room where a leadership team makes the call together. The difference is what the next week is. The same people move the decision into process, definitions and the system. If the question in front of you never touches how revenue is run, we are the wrong firm, and a strategy consultancy is the right one.
From client conversations
Anonymised from leadership conversations. The sector changes. The stall after the readout does not.
Tool choices, a stalled channel, an org that cannot agree who owns the number. An external diagnosis is worth paying for. We sell that too. It is not the whole job.
Implementation starts with a translation. The people who must change their week were not in the readout, or they were, and then a different team arrived to configure the CRM. Accountability sits in the gap.
Pipeline mix shifted, a pricing exception spread, a new segment appeared. A static plan has no operating cadence to absorb that. The company was aligned, and the numbers were not.
Cost structure
A strategy fee can be the smaller invoice and the larger cost. Revenue Wizards is the cheaper structure when the alternative is a diagnosis plus a separate firm to make it true.
What still needs funding
A separate implementation team

Where the team costs less
Strategy fees and RevOps retainers are both scoped, so this page does not invent a price. Compare the pair of contracts with one engagement that includes the build. If you only need the room, start with executive workshops. If you need to know where the system actually breaks, start with the audit.

We do the strategy of the revenue system, and we implement it. We are not the firm for a corporate strategy question that never touches how you market, sell, price or retain. If that is the question, hire a strategy firm.
When the deliverable is a decision, an internal team will execute it, and no system has to change this quarter. A market choice, a transaction, a structure. Paying us to write a plan we will not build is the wrong shape.
Because the implementation is a second contract. The months between the readout and the first change in the CRM are part of the cost, and so is loading the context twice. One owner from the decision to the build removes that gap.
Yes. Executive workshops are for a leadership team that needs to make the call together. The audit is for when you need the diagnosis tied to a system. We will say which one fits.
Tell us what the last plan failed to change. We will tell you if the next step is a workshop, an audit, or a strategy firm that is not us.
